The countdown is on for the 49th Annual Vernon Winter Carnival - with offical dates Feb. 6 - 15th.
Armys of volunteers are madly dashing about in the community to pull together the Dozens of events that are designed to help residents and guests break out of the winter doldrums.. and seize some WHITE HOT FUN!

We are involved with the School Poster Contest and Coloring Contest again this year. The deadline for submissions is approaching - Friday January 23, 2009. Judging will take place at the Vernon Arts Centre next week. We will keep you posted on the progress of that event.
All submissions will be on display at the Vernon Art Centre, in Polson Park throughout the entire Carnival. Awards will be handed out on Thursday, Feb. 12 at the Arts Centre, at the Artists Reception, from 7 :00 pm to 8:30 with presentations beginning at 7:30.
So .. dust of your dancing shoes, and find some fun in Vernon during Dancing with Carnival 2009.
.... our favourite dance... The Salsa, of course!
