Winding Up 2012 Weekly Reports

Here it is - our last weekly report on the local real estate market for 2012. Naturally, with the holidays observed by most - the volume of sales dropped by almost 2/3's of the previous week. This slowdown will likely stabilize after next week - into a normal winter level as people get back to the reality of life in the New Year.

 Average sale price across the region was pretty stable at $343,610 compared to $347,775,  last week. With the total volume reported on only 23 sales transactions,  overall Value was down about $16 Million dollars. The Central Okanagan far outpaced the North Okanagan and Shuswap  with 18 sales, compared to 4 and 1 respectively.

 Look at WHAT sold in order to determine what is really going on in the 3 zones of Okanagan Shuswap Real Estate.

 Only 4 properties were reported as Sold in the North Okanagan Dec. 24 - 30, with a combined sales value of $1,213,500. Average sale price was $303,375 and average days to sell equalled 166. 

A combined sales total of $6,366,525 was reported between Dec. 24 - Dec. 30 for the Central Okanagan Residential MLS®. Average days to sell on the 18 properties that moved to sold status was 107. Average sale price was $353,696 

Only 1 property was reported sold in the Shuswap Dec 24 - 30. This home in Blind Bay sold for $323,000 after 313 days on the market.

Back in the Okanagan Shuswap - Snow piles up and sales slow down....

Average sale price across the region was $347,775, down from $350,710 last week. Accordinly, the total volume reported for the 70 sales transactions was also down about $4 Million dollars. The number of properties reported sold was down to 70 from 78, with the largest decline in the Shuswap

Average price $350,710 on residential MLS® sales last week

Back in Canada's Okanagan Shuswap,the number of sales transactions held fairly steady with a decline of only one from 79 to 78. The average sale price dropped to $350,710 from $384,489  and total sales volume was  down substantially, from$30,374,656 last week to $27,355,400.

Transactions reported this week dropped to 79 from  95 reported the week prior. The average sale price rose to $384,489 from  $358,471 and total sales volume was $30,374,656 compared to $34,054,706. We published the November Monthly reports this week, and you can read them on our blog.

Homeopathic Cold and Flu Prevention by Dr. Ray Lendvai our KurSpa Naturopathic Physician

Fall has arrived and the colder weather means cold and flu season is not far away. This is the time of year that the flu shot is heavily promoted. Many people including some health care professionals question the effectiveness of the regular flu vaccination and an increasing number of people object to being injected with this viral cocktail especially when many health care workers are refusing to take it. The purpose of this article is to inform people that there is a safe and effective homeopathic alternative to the regular flu shot.

The homeopathic flu prevention program consists of an injectable antiviral homeopathic medicine followed by 2 oral medicines taken once a week for 5 weeks.
